Jakarta Government holds COVID-19 Vaccination Movement in Jakarta as an official form of initiating vaccination program in Jakarta. Besides, he also reminded effectiveness of this vaccine that could protect individuals for not getting infected.
"The figures have been issued but our responsibility is exactly the opposite and this is why people who have been vaccinated must still carry out strict health protocols. What we often think is how not to be infected, but the right thing is how we don't transmit it to the others," he said.
Meanwhile, COVID-19 vaccination will be carried out in stages. First, it will be given to health workers, second is to public service personnel and people who are geospatial and economically vulnerable, then third is to general public, economic actors, and vulnerable communities such as elderly.
COVID-19 vaccination is prioritized for people who are proven not being or have been infected, in other words, Anies Baswedan and Jakarta Vice Governor, Ahmad Riza Patria are not included in the priority group.
Jakarta Health Agency Head, Widyastuti mentioned, vaccines that is currently being distributed has received Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) security permit from BPOM RI and Halal certification through MUI Fatwa on January 11, 2021. He stated that Jakarta Government is ready to serve Jakarta residents as many as 7,610,198 people according to vaccination target.
"We also prepared 488 health facilities for COVID-19 vaccination in 6 municipalities and regency throughout Jakarta. Moreover, there are 1,498 trained vaccinators who will inject the vaccines," she added.
On today's vaccination launch at Jakarta City Hall, vaccines were given to the following names;

In the initial stage, vaccination was given by health workers as the frontline for COVID-19 prevention with total 111,929 health workers who will complete the target in two months. Sinovac vaccine is given in two doses for each person with an interval of 14 days from the first injection.
Vaccination's schedule and locations will be informed at website pedulilindungi.id after each person receives SMS blast from 1199 and re-register on the website.
